Police have launched an “urgent” investigation after two people were injured in crossbow attacks just a few streets apart.
Nazarine Cazley, 44, was shot in the back of the head in Club Row, Shoreditch, on March 4, as she crossed the road.
A 20-year-old man was shot in the neck 200 feet away by Arnold Circus just before 7.30pm on Thursday (March 14).

The Metropolitan Police has linked the attacks and officers are stepping up patrols to provide reassurance in the area as they try to identify the suspect.
Officers are also working with Tower Hamlets Council in a joint effort to use as many resources as possible to help the investigation.
At this time, no other similar incidents have been reported.
Detective Chief Superintendent James Conway, who is responsible for policing in Hackney and Tower Hamlets, said: “There are significant efforts to find whoever carried out these assaults, and we are committed to keeping the community updated over the coming days, as we know how worrying this is.”
He said the investigation is being led detectives, neighbourhood teams and specialist officers who are looking at a number of lines of enquiry, including identifying witnesses and exploring both CCTV and forensic opportunities.
“We are keen to hear from the local community. You may have seen something on the days when these offences occurred, or you might have seen or heard something in the local area that you think is suspicious and may be linked to these incidents,” he added.
Nazarine was almost home when “some random person shot her with a crossbow”.
Her husband Clifton told this paper: “When she felt the back of her head there was a spear sticking out. My son heard her screaming and rushed out to help her.”
Ten days later a man in his 20s was attacked near Arnold Circus and was rushed to hospital with a neck injury.
Both victims have since been discharged.
“I understand that local people will be distressed by these incidents, but we would urge them to go about their business.
“Please do be vigilant and alert while our investigation is ongoing and contact us about anything which seems concerning.
“Over the weekend you will see an enhance local policing presence as we dedicate more officers to locate whoever is responsible for these assaults, and help people feel as safe as possible.”
